I loved this oven at first - worked great, size was great, and I had no issues. But then the functionality started to fail. The start button just doesn't work at all sometimes. I'll have to either hold it down for a fill minute or keep pressing and pressing until it finally starts. And then the other buttons perform different functions than they actually should. For example, I'll press the convection function, but instead of turning the convection fan on, it'll change the temp from F to C. Very disappointed that I spent so much on a staple kitchen item to only have it fail on me. It was great while it was working but just doesn't last well.
I really like this oven. I used to love it, but then I started having issues with some basic functionality. First off, the knobs are not super accurate. They are either too sensitive or not sensitive enough. I always end up going past the setting I want. This is true for all of the knobs. Secondly, the convection fan is noisy and getting worse. Thirdly, on the toast setting, my bread is barely getting toasted from the underside. Used to be great, now it's barely toasting the bottom. I see the heating element is on, so I'm not sure why it's not working. It's like it's in Bagel Mode. My 15 year old Hamilton Beach toaster oven with fewer elements was a champ. I only got rid of in favor of the Breville due to the size.
Received this as a gift Christmas 2019. So it's all of about 22 months old. We use it for simple things mostly, maybe once a week. The oven is making the loudest metal grinding noise you have ever heard in your life when the convection is turned on. Turn it off and it works normal without the piercing shrieks of metal. The whole reason we purchased it was for the convection, I have a regular oven if that's all this thing can be used for now. It is disappointing because this thing wasn't cheap, at $300 when we purchased it so to only get about 100 uses out of it before it falls apart is not satisfying. We should have just bought a cheap one.
