Worth every penny!
If you’re a tea sipper or just want to boil water quickly this is the electric kettle to get. I was looking for one for quite some time. I wanted a ‘good one’. First and foremost one that boils water quickly. I take a hot drink to work in cold weather so I want something quick. It has a capacity of 1700 mL or 57.48 US oz. it also has 5 heat settings for various tea leaves/ blends and a stay warm button. I use filtered cold water from the fridge and have never had scale build up. It has a loud 3 beeps when selected temperature is reached. When filled to max capacity with cold water, it takes about 5-6 minutes to reach hottest setting of boil at 212 degrees. I’ve had this kettle for going in 3 years, still like new! It made me a Breville appliance devotee’

Exactly what I was looking for. It's not complicated, but it lives up to the promises: hot water fast, and at the right temperature for various brews. It does beep quite loud with every push of a button,when the water boils, and whenever the kettle is removed from the base or placed back on it. That's only a problem when I'm boiling water and my partner is still asleep nearby. I was there was a way to turn off the incredibly loud beeps. Otherwise, though, it's an excellent kettle, great capacity, able to fill an entire teapot in a single boil. I use it probably three or four times every day and it's become a main feature of my life. Thanks, Breville! BEEP! That means this review is over.
The plastic handle doesn't last - two have broken without being dropped!!
My wife LOVES the tea pot ... EXCEPT! We have bought two of them and after a few years, without being dropped, the handle of both of them just broke apart at the top. I was able to fix one with some epoxy, but unable to fix the first one. Suggestion .... even though they work well - DON'T BUY THIS!!
