I bought this toaster about a month ago. Before I dive in to details, I noticed the majority of the reviews are "it doesnt toast evenly" ... well it is not supposed to. If your looking for a toaster that toasts BOTH sides of toast this is NOT for you. I did my homework and my research prior to buying and all the info including the video online and the store associate at Williams Sonoma stated that its designed to toast one side of the item and warm the other. You can also see this for yourself when it is in use. I love that it is straight forward, that nothing for me has come out burnt. I've made bagels, frozen waffles, toast, hamburger buns etc in here so far. My advice is read the information guide put out by the company, and watch the tutorial and lastly ask questions to either Breville itself or to store associates. Most Williams Sonoma employees are part time employees and have some kind of culinary experience or background or can provide feedback from their own experiences or customers. Enjoy ❤

I purchase this toaster 1 year and 10 month ago and it has never toasted evenly on the same side. One side is toasted and the other side is barely toasted. I spent more for this toaster to get nicely toasted bread-no success. I do like the "a bit more" and "frozen" button features. I cannot recommend this toaster.

"Form" Who says you can't have both? This toaster is a true beauty. You just have to see it in person. It's a solid piece of die cast aluminum with the logo embossed in the front and feels heavy and strong. No special cleaners, just wipe it down with a damp microfiber cloth. No ugly push-down lever, the breads are lifted up and down automatically! The buttons on the top are a polished silver and don't show fingerprints. Each button has an LED light around the perimeter. The top part has a polished silver that sits inside the aluminum casing which wipes up easily to keep the top part of your toaster pristine. Great cord storage underneath so you counters look tidy. Now onto the "Function" part. Settings do exactly what they state and you can easily achieve the perfect level of brownness with the sliding selector. Everyone in our house likes various levels of darkness however we set ours a bit lower and if you like it darker just hit the "A Little Bit More" button which is a game changer. Simple concept but now I can't live without it. Bagels come out perfect! Other breads seem to do very well. Sometimes a small bottom section of the bread is a bit darker but this is the most even browning I have ever seen in a toaster. A bit on the pricey side but you get what you pay for!
