We love sourdough for its thick crust, chewy centre and uneven bubbles, but those same quirks can make it tricky to toast evenly. Sourdough Mode is designed to handle the imperfections, with Eye Q® Optic Sensors adjusting as it toasts. Press and hold to activate the Sourdough Mode and if things get extra rustic, just lower the doneness level for a more even result.
Double press to switch to regular toasting without Eye Q® Optic Sensors, ideal for warming snacks or when you want total control.

I’m really impressed with the Breville Eye Q 850! It looks sleek on the counter, feels well made and most importantly, it actually toasts evenly. I tried it with a bagel, and it came out perfectly gold and crispy without turning into a hockey puck. I also love how easy the controls are to use and that I can adjust the browning depending on what I’m making. It definitely feels like an upgrade from your average toaster. Apparently I’m at the stage of my life where a perfectly toasted bagel brings me genuine happiness. Highly recommend!
It’s beautiful, sleek, and reminds me of an xbox360! I love how high tech it is, yet simple and smooth. It is lightweight, and seems to be really easy to use no matter what your level of technological comofortability is. The toast is very good though I would argue not 100% even on both sides. Plus, there is a color discrepancy on toast from slot one and slot two. For $300+, I expect perfect toast. Still, a fancy, beautiful appliance to add to any kitchen. I went from some toast to toast every day. The world would be happier with more machines (and toast) like these.
There are so many neat things about this toaster. It toasts to your preferred color, and there are seven choices. It has sourdough and crumpet functions to get the perfect crisp. It holds two store-bought slices of bread. It's touch-and-go for busy mornings while multitasking. I've had no problems fitting it into the slot. You can even toast frozen bread slices. It has a tray that easily pulls out to catch crumbs. It has two modes: sourdough and crumpets. Overall, it's easy to use and an absolutely sleek-looking toaster.
