I said that I would never be one of those people that Microwaves coffee, but then I had three kids! One of the best parts of this unit are the present buttons to easily warm up beverages (it even give you the option to select how many cups you are warming up), heat up pizza, melt chocolate, perfectly melt butter, etc. It is also very easy to dial in the time and power for the thing you are microwaving. I also like that you can control the loudness of the chime. If you have kids and don't want to wake them with obnoxious noises, this unit can help. Overall this is a very high-end microwave that is easy to use and evenly heats up food.

Hard to believe we Could be so excited about an appliance but this microwave doesn’t disappoint. We purchased it because my husband doesn’t like the loud noise microwave doors make when closed (I never noticed). Having other Breville appliances I knew this would be worth the price. Food is heated perfectly and the soft close door is the best. I also love the easy to clean stainless interior. It’s simple to use and the preprogrammed features do the trick. This microwave is definitely worth buying!

I have had the Breville - Smooth Wave microwave oven for 2 weeks now. My family is always using microwaves to reheat food and warm up water for tea. We also cook frozen dinners. This microwave has a lot of features and settings that I have never seen before. On the inside of the door there are Quick start menu buttons for reheating pizza, cooking bacon, melting chocolate, softening butter, and heating beverages. Then on the outside you have 3 Smart buttons. one for cooking, one for heating, and one for defrosting. There is also a dial you can turn to cook by time and another dial to control power. You have choice of sound beep or tone, you can control volume, and even mute it. The smart cook has 10 different food categories including popcorn, potatoes, soft vegetables, hard vegetables, frozen vegetables, bacon, chicken, meat, fish, rice and oatmeal. The smart defrost has chicken, meat, fish, and soup. The smart reheat uses a sensor. The smart reheat works great for almost everything, but not for soup. I just reheat soup for 2 to 3 minutes. There is even a bit more button that adds 20 seconds. The inside is stainless steel with a glass turntable, there is even a button to turn off the table from turning. It has an inverter technology for better power control and performance. It also makes the microwave much lighter. It comes with a good heavy duty plug. I am deeply impressed with the Smooth Wave. My daughter reheated a slice of pizza in it and it came out perfect. I reheated a turkey meal, you do not have to worry about your food drying out or becoming rubbery. It crooked it perfectly. There is even a keep warm button in case, you have to delaying your eating. I cooked frozen meals, again the Smooth Wave cooks evenly, never have to worry about the food coming out with dried or over cooked parts. This microwave is just that much better, it is a huge leap in performance from my old microwave. Not only does it perform better but, it stays cleaner. It doesn't make your food splatter all over the place. We have used the Smooth Wave daily for 2 weeks heating, cooking, and defrosting so many things, and it looks unused inside. It stays clean. And if it does get a little dirty just wipe it with a cloth or paper towel, it stainless steel and it seems that food doesn't stick to it. I highly recommend the Smooth Wave, if you need a microwave, I would go with this one, this is new technology, that is easy to use and works great. No one would think that the food was ever in the microwave.
