13 years and still going strong, built to last!
Beville makes such high quality products, you can't go wrong. I purchased tis grill 13 years ago when i lived in the city and was unable to grill outdoors. I've used it from everything from pancakes to paninis, steaks to grilled cheeses. Easy to clean with the removable plates and stores away vertically or horizontally. Coming back because i wanted to see if I could buy additional plates, it came with one grill and one flat plate. Thrilled with this product, not surprised its still available for sale after all these years!
Fantastic Grill
I have owned a Breville grill for several years now. I use it almost daily. I am extremely happy with it. I have seen the complaints about things sticking and the grills wearing, but people are obviously doing something wrong. I seasoned my grill plates with olive oil and heat them for 5 minutes. Nothing has ever stuck. I only use silicone utensils so never a scratch. As for cleaning it is only ever dry wiped with a paper towel. You just need common sense and this grill will last you years. I love it and have never had an issue with it. It works fantastic for all my grilling needs. I highly recommend this grill to everyone. You will almost stop using you stove top.
Solid appliance, with very uneven heat.
The overall design of this griddle is excellent. The temperature control is very good, the removable plates make cleaning easy, and the adjustments are simple and straightforward. But the heating elements on the plates are problematic. They have very definite zones that do not heat up evenly. The outside corners and the middle inside edge are perfect. But the inside corners are very much cooler, making them unusable. Without the uneven heating issues, this appliance would easily rate a 5. But having to deal with cool spots all the time drops it down to a solid 3. It's not bad enough to make me look for a replacement, but it's bad enough to result in strong language when I forget to not use the inside corners.
