Best toaster.
I like my Breville Panini Duo because it is made of quality and durable steel materials. It is very good at making huge sandwich and the melt function actually melt my cheese which I love. No matter how much I load my sandwich with my favorite ingredients, this product will toast it. I love it's multiple functions and heavy duty cover, handle and open, lock controls. Overall, excellent quality for people who values good tasting and we'll toasted sandwich.
the Panini Duo:tm: needs engineering improvements
Greetings, There is much to like about this appliance and a couple of severe design failures. 1- The most obvious complaint is the lack of an on/off switch 2- The most important and safety related complaint is the poorly designed clip system for attaching the grill plates. This "innovative" design keeps letting the plates release and fall down "while hot". I have done my best to secure the clips, but they need a redesign with two latching clips instead of only one in the center at the top. This is really annoying, dangerous and BAD. Even if the latch clips were made of a thicker gauge of metal might help.
Best panini press- it’s a no-brainer!
We have used a previous version of this panini press for 2 decades. Our last panini finally stopped working (overuse?). We went for a year without one, finally decided we needed to replace because we couldn’t live without it! When this new version arrived, we immediately tried it out. It’s amazing and much improved from the last version. Our sandwiches were perfectly browned and delicious! The clean up seemed way easier. Love this panini press! Plan to purchase for our grown children and their families. Thank you, Breville! You continually amaze us with your fantastic products.
