The latest version of the Fresh & Furious is compatible with the Vac Q vacuum pump*. The Vac Q improves texture, colors and flavors for some of your mixes. For certain recipes, flavors will be greatly enhanced providing smoother green smoothies, creamier spreads, delicate dips and silkier gazpacho soup. For milk based shakes, it's the air that's whipped through and trapped into the shake that gives that light and bubbly texture.
The blade design and high torque motor delivers quiet and efficient blending performance. Engineered surgical grade stainless steel ensures the blades stay sharp, for longer.
Illuminated Smoothie, Green Smoothie and Ice Crush pre-programmed buttons make it super simple to blend the smoothest of smoothies.
LCD display counts up on speed settings and down for pre-programmed settings for complete control when blending.
10 of the smoothest recipe cards included from ice lollies, marinades, smoothies and dips.
This is easily the nicest blender I have owned. It has a lovely design and looks gorgeous on the counter. It's the perfect size for making smoothies and protein shakes but it's versatile and makes other delicious recipes, such as hummus, mayo, salad dressing, and etc. The pitcher is sturdy and dishwasher safe. The blender lid is safe on the top rack. There are different settings depending on what you are making and all are easy to read and use. The Fresh and Furious blender is quieter than my previous blender, which I really appreciate. It doesn't move around at all when in use - it's very stable. The auto-clean function is a very helpful, easy to use time saver. Normally I just wing it when making smoothies but the blender came with recipe cards so I decided to make one of the recipes. I tried the "Pomegranate Berry Green Smoothie." The recipe included spinach leaves and the blender blended the leaves up SO well - there was absolutely no trace of the spinach - zero lumps! My kids had no idea their delicious smoothie had leafy greens. It's amazing how well the leaves were blended - my new secret weapon to hide veggies from the kids!
I've owned a lot of blenders over the years, both expensive and cheap. Most of them are incredibly overpriced for what you get or very under-powered and cheaply made. Outside of the fact that this blender can in fact be quite loud on the highest setting, I have never been more initially impressed than I am with this one. Impressions: 1. The build quality and attention to detail of this blender is very good. The blender bowl is BPA free; the blades are substantial and well made but not too sharp; the blender lid has a well designed pull tab to get the lid off; the cord can be wrapper around the inside of the bottom of the base; the cord has a really need finger pull tab to pull out of the socket; the fit and finish of the blender is well done and materials used are of good quality; and, this is a very powerful blender. It simply gets the job done. 2. I've used this to crush ice, make smoothies, ice cream, protein shakes, and lightly chop veggies thus far and it's handled all of that with ease. 3. There are enough programs to handle any task and the display is well done. 4. The bowl does not lock into the base but the bottom of the bowl is tall enough that it doesn't matter. 5. As I mentioned before, on the highest settings, this can definitely be loud. However, at those settings, you have to consider the amount of power going through the unit and have reasonable expectations. However, if you prefer a blender that's quiet even on high, this may not be for you. Overall, I just can't find anything negative to say about this blender outside of it being a little loud at times. It's built like a tank, has power for days, and has handled every task that's important to me so far. It's easily the best blender I've ever had outside of a certain blender of professional quality that I won't mention by name, but most probably will know. I feel very comfortable recommending without hesitation and consider it a solid value at the price it's listed at. Cheers!
I love the Breville products and have used them over the years. Guess you could say, that loyalty remains confident in the product. The product seems to work well when new and after a period of time of moderate use, the performance declines to malfunctions and smells like motor burning. It is much like an electrical issue with motor giving off smoke. As this issue began, seemed minor and now to the point where I am unable to use my Breville without safety concerns. It is possible that this is a problem with the plastic molding and the steel metal gears making contact during the blending. This is only my 4th or 5th Breville blender and maybe time to move to next generation. I don't think this can be replaced again.
