I received my Breville the Q Blender this morning. After taking it out of the very well packaged box, rinsing it, and looking over the directions., I made my first Green Smoothie with it! I am not kidding when I say that it was the smoothest, lump-free, well-blended Smoothie that I have ever made! We are Vegan so this Blender was a much needed appliance our home. I cannot believe the power that it has, and how fast it works! I love the included Tamper. It makes it so much easier to use frozen fruits in my recipes. I had no idea that the Q had the ability to make Hot Soup! That is an added bonus to me. I cannot wait to see what else I discover about this great blender as time goes on. The Q Blender features an on/off button that automatically shuts the blender off after 5 minutes of non-use. A cancel button to cancel and setting that you may have clicked by accident, or can see that your recipe is done, and need to stop blending. Nine different speed controls; Auto Pulse/Ice Crush, Smoothie, Green Smoothie, Soup; Cold to Hot, Mix, Chop, Blend, Puree, and Mill. It also features a button to Clean the blender! Another feature that I love is that the 68 OZ. Blender Jug is made of BPA FREE Copolyester. This makes the Jug shatter resistant and durable, plus it is dishwasher safe. I have had many Blenders with a glass Jug and have broken more than one! It also features the Breville Assist Plug. It is a three prong plug with a finger hole so it is very easy to unplug from the wall outlet. This is the best Blender that I have ever owned! I could go on and on about this great Blender, and all of the features that is has, but I want to go whip up something delicious for dinner with it!

I am beyond impressed with The Q! My co-worker has been bringing smoothies to work for a month now and I have been wanting to make my own however I didn't have a high quality blender capable of crushing the spinach and frozen fruit needed to make a healthy drink. I am pleased to say my smoothies are amazing! The Q has an easy to remove circle in the lid where you can insert the tamper to push down and leafy greens or fruit you need to get closer to the blades. It fits perfectly in the lid and will not hit the blades making you comfortable using it frequently if needed. There are 4 one touch buttons so you know you're making your smoothies correctly with the right power and frequency needed for the perfect blend. The buttons are Smoothie, Green Smoothie, Soup (hot or cold) and Auto Pulse (ice crush). The five other settings on this blender are Mix, Chop, Blend, Puree and Mill. One of my favorite buttons or what I like to call the Bonus Button is CLEAN! You put a little water and soap inside the blender, I filled it with water under the half way mark and you click clean and you get 60 seconds of different pulses leaving your blender clean! Such a great feature and I love no longer attempting to clean the blades well with a sponge. Once the 60 seconds on the clean button feature are done simply rinse with water and let it dry! This Q is very quiet for the 1800 watt motor. I can make smoothies before work downstairs and not worry about my kids waking up. The lid has a ring for you to place your finger inside making it easy to pull off. It clips in and secures so you're not worried the lid will fly off and you will have a mess to clean. I absolutely love this blender and can't wait to make healthier food options for my family! I have so many recipes I can't wait to try.

After years of searching for the perfect smoothie blender, I finally found it. We do smoothies and shakes every Sunday, and the Q blender did the fastest, smoothest blending job of any blender I've ever owned. I was seriously shocked the first time I ran the smoothie setting that I didnt have to run it a second time or use a spatula to scrape the sides of the jar between runs. We like our smoothies and shakes thick, and The Q can handle it. Pros: Fast, smooth, multiple settings, tamper for thick foods, beautiful design, self clean function The only con I could think of was that the warranty is only 7 years instead of lifetime but I'll probably want something new in 7 years anyway, so it's not a big deal for me.
