Geezus, Breville. Why make this so hard to clean

Breville has a reputation of making high end yet affordable products but they keep missing the boat on their multicookers. They have yet to offer a model with a stainless steel pot and manufacture that pot with a smooth bottom. The current inner pot has a nonstick coating with a recessed diamond pattern. I suppose the diamond pattern is to help cook whatever meat you’re searing (?) Whatever the goal was, it is a failure. When you sear meat, with or without a marinade, the Maillard reaction assists in developing flavor by caramelizing amino acids and sugars. This browning is what helps give meat good flavor. However because of the recessed diamond pattern, this sticky caramelization gets stuck in the sides of those tiny diamonds making it very very difficult to clean. I don’t want residual food to build up on the bottom of my pot and carry over to the next meal. I’ve soaked the bottom of the inner pot in vinegar over night and tried to remove the debris with wooden dowels or chop sticks but it’s very time consuming and some areas just won’t get clean. The nonstick coating clearly isn’t doing what it’s supposed to do and I wouldn’t be happy with buying another insert if this is what’s going to happen in just a matter of a few uses. Also, I never ever use metal utensils on this pot yet there are clear signs of the nonstick coating flaking off. So what do I do? Bite the bullet and buy a new insert knowing the short-term inevitable or toss this slow cooker and pay for another brand that’s offers something more durable? I expected more from this product and this company. Money is difficult to come by and you would hope a company like Breville who describes itself as an “iconic global brand that enhances people’s lives through thoughtful design and brilliant innovation” would have taken something obvious like the design of an inner pot into consideration for its customers. $300+ and this is the “innovation,” “thoughtful design,” and life enhancement I get? You guys can do better.
Another Insert Coating Failure

I really liked my Fast Slow Pro until the coating on the insert began to wear away. The textured bottom makes it hard to clean, and even though it was only ever cleaned with a sponge or kitchen brush, those ridges are exactly where the coating is failing. I can purchase the same insert again, knowing that it, too, will fail, but I cannot purchase a plain, untextured, uncoated stainless steel insert.
